We’ve been bracing the ICF SuperForm this week in preparation for the first wall pour. With the installation of vertical rebar, plywood bracing, and foam sealant we are ensuring the structure maintains its integrity during the planned pour for the basement level of this home.

Leading up to Thanksgiving we were busy on site of our newest project ensuring the installation of our footing form using the Form-A-Drain system.

This system is easy to install due to its lightweight. We laid out and formed the footing the same as we would with a traditional 2 x 12 wood strip footing. Once the layout is on point we will rebar and place concrete.

The Form-A-Drain pieces have 2 chambers; the top chamber will perform as our radon excavation and the bottom chamber will execute as our perimeter drain. This will drain water and gasses that build up under the slab and evacuate them away from the building to protect the new home from unwanted gasses and water.

Definitely a game changer in water and radon mitigation.

The Newton Exterior was a labor of love. With the addition of a full basement level renovation, the exterior was pining for a refresh that not only honored the brilliance of the newly constructed interior, but led to accentuate the distinct architectural beauty of the home.
